Students/Alumni
All users/participants of Â鶹ͷÌõ Career Services programs, events, resources, and services are expected to adhere to appropriate professional standards and Principles for Professional Ethical Practice as established through the , the Â鶹ͷÌõ Student Handbook, and basic fundamentals of good business etiquette practices through appearance, behavior, and communications.
Students/alumni will model the Â鶹ͷÌõ Mission and Values. Students/alumni missing interviews/appointments or reneging on an employment offer are expected to write a letter of apology to the employer and to Career Services before access to services, programs, events, resources, or employer databases will be re-considered. Â鶹ͷÌõ Career Services reserves the right to withhold or limit access to events, services, resources, or programs based on inappropriate or unprofessional activities or communications.
Career Services values the partnerships/relationships with employers that provide employment and experiential opportunities for Â鶹ͷÌõ students and alumni. Students and alumni not meeting the above expectations put these relationships at risk and reflect poorly on the university.
Employers
All users/participants of Â鶹ͷÌõ Career Services programs, events, resources, and services are expected to adhere to appropriate professional standards and Principles for Professional Ethical Practice as established through the and basic fundamentals of good business etiquette practices through appearance, behavior, and communications.
Recruiting employers must follow all labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, and ensure that employment access is available to all qualified candidates. Posting all positions in Handshake or College Central Network with CCCI will ensure that equitable access has been met. Internship employers should refer to the U.S. Department of Labor’s regarding internship compensation.
Students and alumni information accessed through the posting platforms of Â鶹ͷÌõ or CCCI, may NOT be shared with other employers or third-parties. This information is intended to be used by authorized contacts for the purpose of employment. Review the privacy guidelines as established by the U.S. Department of Education at .
Employers not meeting these expectations risk losing recruiting privileges.
Career Services is committed to providing equitable access to all employment opportunities for our students and alumni through these self-directed job and internship posting database systems. All students are provided with a career management account within the Flyers Get Hired, powered by Handshake system.
For the safety of our students, Career Services does not accept job/internship opportunities that are based in private residences, lack a robust website and/or matching email domains for contacts, or are located outside of the continental United States. Career Services also reserves the right to exclude organizations or postings that do not fit or are in conflict with the Â鶹ͷÌõ Mission and Values, or are believed by the University to not be in the best interest of our students/alumni.

All users/participants of Â鶹ͷÌõ Career Services programs, events, resources, and services are expected to adhere to appropriate professional standards and Principles for Professional Ethical Practice as established through the , the Â鶹ͷÌõ Student Handbook, and basic fundamentals of good business etiquette practices through appearance, behavior, and communications.
Â鶹ͷÌõ employees with administrative access to employment posting sites or career related software are expected to comply with university privacy policies and engage only in activities for which the access has been granted.

While positions and employers are researched before accepting them, it is still possible for fraudulent or unethical companies to get through the investigation process. Content on external links (outside of lewisu.edu) is not reviewed or vetted for safety. It is the responsibility of those using any job search systems or internet links to recognize the dangers of online/internet job searching. Carefully research all employers, positions, and contacts before providing personal information or applying for positions.
