HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Tiffin 2, Â鶹ͷÌõ 0
A simple concept, win or go home. The Flyers started the first five minutes of the game on the attack holding the ball in their offensive zone but could not get a clean look at the net. The Dragons would catch Â鶹ͷÌõ in transition and scramble their defense and a shot which was pushed to the side by Doppelhofer did find the back of the net to give Tiffin a one-goal lead.
Trying to brush off the allowed goal, Â鶹ͷÌõ did their best to amp up the energy once again, however, a few minutes later Tiffin would strike again off of a corner kick to go up by two with a little over five minutes remaining in the half. Â鶹ͷÌõ had three corner kicks inside five minutes which they could not turn into a goal. At the half both team headed to their locker rooms with Tiffin leading by two.
Second Half: Tiffin 3, Â鶹ͷÌõ 1
With a tough hill to climb the Flyers tried to reshape their environment and energy. Â鶹ͷÌõ struggled early in the second half to hold the ball in their offensive side for extended periods of time. Once again in transition The Dragons put up another goal to lead by three in the elimation match. With their backs against the wall Â鶹ͷÌõ threw everything they could muster at Tiffin.
Perez carried the ball across the top of the box and with his left laces hammered one into the left side of the goal. Down two goals once again, the Flyers tried to use this newfound sign of motivation to get two more goals. Some for high floaters into the box and passes which were broken up stopped any chance Â鶹ͷÌõ had of getting another goal, while Â鶹ͷÌõ did possess the ball more in the second half they fell to Tiffin 3-1.
Final Score: Tiffin 3, Â鶹ͷÌõ 1
The Â鶹ͷÌõ Men's soccer team would like to thank all theirs family, friends and fans for their support and love throughout their journey. Without you all, the game of soccer would not be the same.
